Container Storage · Huddersfield
North Huddersfield is closer to our Brighouse yard than to much of Huddersfield’s own storage - about fifteen minutes down the A641 - an easy run that often beats trekking across town for a dearer unit.

Getting here
Take the A641 Bradford Road out through Fixby and drop into Brighouse; Calder Street is off the town centre, just before the river. From the M62, junction 25 brings you in from the other side in five minutes.
What locals store
Huddersfield customers include students between terms, families bridging completion dates, and traders who want stock a junction away from the M62 for morning deliveries in either direction.
Every container comes with a padlock supplied by us, sits behind a gated yard with 24/7 motion-sensing CCTV, and runs on rolling monthly terms with just 14 days' notice. More questions? See our FAQs.
Local detail
North Huddersfield is our natural catchment. From Fixby and Bradley you're at the yard in ten to twelve minutes on the A641; Lindley, Birkby and Salendine Nook run about fifteen, and if you're near Ainley Top, junctions 24 and 25 of the M62 make it quicker still. From Brighouse-side villages like Bradley Mills it's a five-minute job.
If you're south of the town centre - Almondbury, Newsome, Lockwood - be honest with yourself about the ring road at five o'clock; there may be something closer. Where we win is drive-up access. An indoor unit in Huddersfield means a lift, a corridor and a trolley, and often a loading bay you have to book. Here you park at your own door at whatever hour suits.
The university calendar drives a chunk of our Huddersfield bookings. Students clearing halls at the end of the summer term take a container between three or four of them, which lands a long way under what individual student storage costs, and pick it all up again in September.
Quick answers
Often, yes - it depends where you are. From the north of town, Fixby, Bradley, Birkby or Lindley, you're on the A641 or M62 and with us in about fifteen minutes without going near the ring road. From the south of Huddersfield you may well be closer to something in town. We'd rather tell you that than take a booking you'll regret.
Yes, and a fair few do. A 20ft container comfortably takes several rooms' worth between you, which works out far cheaper split than individual student storage. Terms are rolling monthly with 14 days' notice, so you can take it from the end of the summer term and drop it when you're back.
It's £150, taken with your first payment, and it comes back to you in full when you leave - provided the container is emptied and left as you found it. It isn't rent in advance and it isn't an admin fee.
Fourteen days, running from the day we receive it rather than to the end of the month. Rent runs by the calendar month, so if you know you're going it's worth telling us at least 14 days before the month ends.
We supply a good padlock with every container, so there's nothing to buy on the way. Your own contents insurance is your responsibility - most home policies extend to goods in storage, but it's worth a call to your insurer to check rather than assume.
