Getting here

The drive from Cleckheaton

How Cleckheaton uses JB Storage

Cleckheaton customers who choose Brighouse usually want a second container near the M62 for work - tools and materials in one place, an easy drive from home in the other direction.

Every container comes with a padlock supplied by us, sits behind a gated yard with 24/7 motion-sensing CCTV, and runs on rolling monthly terms with just 14 days' notice. More questions? See our FAQs.

Straight answer

Cleckheaton: Brighouse or Liversedge?

Cleckheaton sits almost exactly between two of our yards, so it's worth thirty seconds' thought before you book. Our sister site, MB Storage at Liversedge, is about six minutes down the A638 and is the closer of the two for most of the town - the Westgate, Moorend and Hightown sides especially.

Brighouse is still the better pick in three cases. If you're on the Scholes or Hunsworth side and already joining the M62 at junction 26, one junction west is no slower. If you work in Calderdale and it suits you to call in on the way home, we're on your route and Liversedge isn't. And if Liversedge happens to be full when you need a container - which does happen - we'll have one here rather than leave you waiting.

Either way it's the same family business, the same containers and the same phone answered by someone local. We'd sooner point you at the closer yard than win the booking.

Quick answers

Cleckheaton storage questions

Isn't MB Storage in Liversedge closer to Cleckheaton?

Usually, yes - and we'd rather say so. MB Storage on Wormald Street is about six minutes down the A638 and it's the same family business, so you'll get the same containers and the same people either way. Brighouse is the better call if you're already heading west on the M62, if you want the Calderdale side, or if Liversedge has no 20ft free when you need one.

What's actually at the Brighouse yard?

20ft drive-up containers, roughly 160 sq ft each - about a single garage, and enough for a two to three bedroom house. One size, done properly, behind a gated yard with 24/7 CCTV and phone entry. If you need something smaller, MB's Batley yard has 8ft containers.

How much is the deposit, and do I get it back?

It's £150, taken with your first payment, and it comes back to you in full when you leave - provided the container is emptied and left as you found it. It isn't rent in advance and it isn't an admin fee.

How much notice do I have to give?

Fourteen days, running from the day we receive it rather than to the end of the month. Rent runs by the calendar month, so if you know you're going it's worth telling us at least 14 days before the month ends.

Do I need my own padlock, or insurance?

We supply a good padlock with every container, so there's nothing to buy on the way. Your own contents insurance is your responsibility - most home policies extend to goods in storage, but it's worth a call to your insurer to check rather than assume.
